Glasxs (Melis Uslu) is a London based musician and producer who mixes robots with nature. Getting her inspiration from Radiohead, James Blake, Portishead, and Lykke Li among others, she collaborates with Grey Owl on bass and with Orcun Can for the visual projects. Also, Manga’s drummer Ozgur Can Oney often joins her on stage. Her debut album “Planet Reverse”, produced by herself has been released in October 2016. The album has since been featured in numerous best-of lists and got critical acclaim. Her cover for Thom Yorke’s Hearing Damage also generated positive reviews. Her single “Yemen Turkusu” was used in a popular Turkish TV series and has reached a large audience. Having performed in Saarbach Gallery Berlin, 93 Feet East London, Salon IKSV, Beehive Bow London, Peyote Nevizade, Karga, Kadikoy Sahne, Peyote Cennet Bahçesi, IF Performance Hall Ankara, Peyote Eskisehir, and Bronx, she has also performed in events and festivals like London Women of Electronica, Brockley Max Festival, Istanbul Jazz Festival, London PureGold Festival, Nilufer Music Festival, Indiecity V Festival, Radiohead Day, and Kanyon Friday Stage. She signed with Sony Music in 2018 and her 2nd album, “Mavi Toz Ormanda” has been released under their division, Epic Istanbul. The album again has been placed in many best-of lists. For her releases “Bebek Bana Her Şeyi Anlat” and “Space is the Place” under Sony Music - Epic Istanbul, she teamed up with Mikko Gordon, a London based producer who works with many bands and artists, including Radiohead.
