Glasxs (Melis Uslu) is a London based musician and producer who mixes robots with nature. Getting her inspiration from Radiohead and Portishead among others, she frequently collaborates with Grey Owl (bass guitar). Her debut album ‘Planet Reverse’, produced by herself has been released on 21 October 2016 on all digital platforms. The album has since been featured in numerous “Best Of 2016” lists and got critical acclaim. Her cover for Thom Yorke’s Hearing Damage also generated very positive reviews. Having performed in Saarbach Gallery Berlin, 93 Feet East London, Salon IKSV, Beehive Bow London, Peyote Nevizade, Karga, Kadikoy Sahne, Peyote Cennet Bahçesi, IF Performance Hall Ankara, Peyote Eskisehir and Bronx, she has also performed in events and festivals like London Women of Electronica, Brockley Max Festival, Istanbul Jazz Festival, London PureGold Festival, Nilufer Music Festival, Indiecity V Festival, Radiohead Day, and Kanyon Friday Stage. Turkish rock band MaNga’s drummer Ozgur Can Oney joins her on stage for live shows. Her 2nd album ‘Mavi Toz Ormanda’ has been released under Sony Music Turkey’s division, Epic Istanbul. The album has been placed in many ‘Best of 2018’ lists. For her 2019 ‘Bebek Bana Her Şeyi Anlat’ and ‘Space is the Place’ under Sony Music - Epic Istanbul, she teamed up with Mikko Gordon, a London based producer who works with many bands and artists, including Radiohead. Her latest cover work on ‘Seni Kimler Aldı’ (Who Took You Away) in 2020 generated a very strong listener base. Having released her new single ‘Shipwreck’, Glasxs is preparing for the release of her upcoming third album, a double album by the name ‘Princess Anxiety / Prenses Anksiyete’ which will be released in October 2021 in both English and Turkish.
